ipfs-stac
ipfs-stac is a Python client for STAC catalogs enriched with IPFS, so spatial-asset catalogs can reference and retrieve imagery held on content-addressed storage.
Purpose
Spatial-asset catalogs assume HTTP hosts; content-addressed storage needs a bridge so catalogs can reference and retrieve imagery on IPFS.
Approach
A Python client for STAC catalogs enriched with IPFS metadata, built with the EASIER Data Initiative at the University of Maryland as part of the DecentralizedGeo collaboration.
Status
Stable; open source under DecentralizedGeo.
