Spatial.sol
Spatial.sol implements geometric and topological functions in Solidity -- point-in-polygon, distance, intersection -- to bring spatial analytics on-chain. Astral later carried the work forward.
Purpose
The first attempt at verifiable geocomputation -- could a spatial policy check run where the computation itself is transparent, rather than trusted to a server?
Approach
A Solidity library of geometric and topological functions -- point-in-polygon, distance, intersection -- started at ETHParis 2019 and later carried forward by Astral.
Status
Experimental proof of concept; archived.
